Hexarelin

Research context

Rat experiments measure plasma growth-hormone release after Hexarelin, including infant rats, adult rats, and preparations used to compare pituitary and hypothalamic contributions.

What has been studied

Torsello et al. (1996) measured plasma growth-hormone release after Hexarelin in infant rats, adult rats, and rats with mediobasal-hypothalamus ablation, and compared some of those responses with GHRH. The paper also recorded growth-hormone release from pituitary tissue in vitro.

These labels restate the setting of the cited paper. They are not new findings and do not describe a catalog material.

What remains uncertain

Limitations

Growth-hormone measurements in rats and pituitary preparations do not establish a human diagnostic or therapeutic use.
